IMPORTANT
Films that require ECN-2 processing (DAYLIGHT and TUNGSTEN series of films) MUST NOT under any circumstances be developed through standard commercial labs or equipment.
ECN-2 Films contain an additional layer on top of the film that serves to limit halation as well as protect the film as it travels through the motion picture camera.
This anti-halation layer (known as ‘remjet’) MUST be removed prior to development – either as part of the ECN-2 process, or prior to cross-developing in C-41 (standard colour development).
IF YOU SEND YOUR FILM TO A LAB, YOU MAY DESTROY THEIR EQUIPMENT.
VENONA will not be held liable for any damage to equipment or stock as a result of improper development.
It is the responsibility of the shooter to develop their film appropriately.
It is a condition of sale the customer be aware of, and accept responsibility for their films’ processing.
DEVELOPING OPTIONS
VENONA offers development for all our films (both ECN-2 and Black and White), as well as standard C-41 development as required.
